Ferrara says when you’re wearing shapewear under lightweight fabrics, it’s best to stick with a one-piece bodysuit that matches your skin tone.

I hope that Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih, can stay away from the bad press that has surrounded some pageant contestants and winners in recent years. I think she spoke eloquently and her answers didn’t sound trite or rehearsed. I would like to think she is the person she claims to be, and brings honor to the United States.
I competed in a number of scholarship and beauty pageants when I was a much younger woman, and used the money to go to college. I remember the stress that went with pageant competition, and sadly it made it so the pageants weren’t all that much fun. Some contestants were out for blood, and thier parents had even hired coaches for them to work with them for months prior to the pageant. It’s a very different world, and I must say I’m glad that neither of my daughters went that route.

According to the Globe and Mail, American designer Brian Atwood is taking the shoe world by storm, and everyone wants a pair of his flashy, fun high heels. He began designing in 2001 and currently counts celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow among his fans.
Brian’s shoes are anything but boring, with reflective surfaces, jewelled embellishments and rows of gold studs. He also likes to name his designs after pop culture icons, including Lady Gaga and Dorota, Leighton Meester’s hilarious and loyal maid on Gossip Girl.

Inside the year, Brian plans to open a retail store and an online store. He’s also working on a fragrance and may possibly venture into clothing. As for men’s shoes, Brian says, “Who knows – eventually!”

MODEL AMBROSE OLSEN OVERLEDENWe are always saddened to report on the passing of a member of the fashion family. The young and talented model, Ambrose Olsen, died unexpectedly on April 22, 2010, in New York City. Specifications on his cause of death have not been confirmed. Throughout his career, Olsen had been featured in campaigns and work with numerous designer brands including Hugo Boss, D&G, Nautica, Dior Homme, Armani Exchange, YSL, Louis Vuitton, GQ Style, V Man, Kim Jones and most recently, the Giorgio Armani Extreme Attitude fragrance.

Ashley Graham on Lane Bryant Commercial: ‘Curves Are In, and They Are Here to Stay’
It’s fine for ABC and Fox to air Victoria Secret commercials on an endless revolving basis, but apparently if you run a plus-sized clothing business like Lane Bryant and you want to show off your plus-sized lingerie you’re out of luck.
ABC was suppose to air the Lane Bryant ad spot during Dancing With The Stars then decided to pull the ad according to AdWeek. 
Fox also decided that the commercial would require “significant edits” before they would air the commercial on their network. Funny enough they have no problem airing Victoria Secret’s “The Nakeds” commercials in droves.
