Exotic dancer accused of hitting, dragging man The dancer’s court appearance is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in West Chester – around the same time that mourners will be paying their respects to the victim at a Fairfield funeral home.
The victim who died in Saturday’s incident, Jae Cho, 31, of Monroe, was valued as a loyal, cheerful, hard-working server at Sammy’s Gourmet Burgers and Beer in Blue Ash, said Ryan Laker, manager at Sammy’s.
“He was one of the best workers I ever could have asked for,” said Laker, of Blue Ash. “He was never in a bad mood. He never complained about anything, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. His customers loved him and he made good money working here.”
The restaurant will be closed from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to allow co-workers to attend Cho’s funeral. Services are set for 1 p.m. at the Webster Funeral Home, 3080 Homeward Way, Fairfield. Friends may call three hours prior.
Meanwhile, at 1:30 p.m. in Butler County Area III Court, West Chester, authorities are to present evidence to persuade a judge to send the accused motorist, dancer Kristina Hensley, 35, of Higginsport, to a grand jury, which could change the charge she now faces: leaving the scene of an accident.
Police say Hensley struck Cho with her Ford Explorer near his home on Timrick Place and then drove about a mile to the Shell gas station, at 1280 Hamilton-Lebanon Road, dragging his body underneath her car all the while.
In a call to 911 around 5 a.m. Saturday, someone at the gas station reports that a man is underneath a vehicle and has apparently been run over.
