Money magazine recently came out with their best places to live list that included small towns and cities around the United States, that offered the greatest living conditions for residents. Each city was judged on a number of factors including: school quality, crime rates, safety, job opportunities, and other factors that added to a cities particular “quality.”
Among the cities that were listed, Eden Prairie, Minnesota topped the list followed by Columbia/Ellicott City, Maryland, Newton, Massachusetts, Bellevue, Washington, McKinney, Texas, Fort Collins, Colorado, Overland Park, Kansas, Fishers, Indiana, Ames, Iowa and Rogers, Arkansas.
The data provider for Money’s list was a group called Onboard Informatics.The nearby National Security Agency and the Fort Meade Army base together account for more than 8,000 jobs, and the government plans to move thousands more positions there by next year. Baltimore and D.C. are within commuting distance (30 and 60 minutes, respectively).
