It’s time unleash the madness on the college basketball world! As of Selection Sunday 2010, the NCAA field of 64 (65 with the play-in team), and the NIT field of 32 have been scheduled. These two tournaments feature some of the top programs in all of college basketball, and have made for two intriguing 2010 Tournaments. The top seeds in the NCAA tournament this year will be Syracuse, Duke, Kentucky and Kansas. These four schools have all won NCAA titles during their school histories. Will one of them claim the top prize again in 2010?
As for the NIT tournament, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Illinois and Arizona State are your #1 seeds. However, teams like North Carolina and Connecticut both appeared in last year’s Final Four and are looking to bounce back from disappointing 2009-10 seasons. Will one of the 1 seeds do it or will it be another team like St. John’s or URI? It’s going to be an interesting postseason for college basketball!
